Website price ranges at a glance
Most quotes fall into three bands. These are typical ranges for a professional studio, not a freelancer template job or a large agency retainer.
| Type of website | Typical price (USD) | Typical timeline |
|---|---|---|
| Business website (5–10 pages) | $1,500–$4,000 | 3–4 weeks |
| Online store (Shopify or WooCommerce) | $3,000–$8,000 | 5–8 weeks |
| Bilingual corporate site (Arabic & English) | $4,000–$10,000 | 6–8 weeks |
What changes the price
Two websites can look similar and still cost very different amounts. These are the things that move the number most.
1. Number of page templates
Ten pages that share one layout cost far less than ten pages that each need their own design. Ask how many templates are included, not just pages.
2. Languages
A second language is not just translation. Arabic needs a right-to-left layout, Arabic fonts and its own SEO, which usually adds 30–50% to the build.
3. Features
Booking, payments, member areas, CRM connections and custom calculators all add development time. A simple contact form does not.
4. Custom design vs a template
A bought theme is cheaper up front but harder to make look premium and often slower. Custom design costs more and is built around your content.
5. Content
If you supply finished text and photos, the build is faster. If the studio writes copy or sources images, budget for it.
Designed from scratch, built on the platform that fits, with a fixed quote.
Website prices by country
Where your business is changes what agencies charge. These are typical ranges for a business website from a professional studio.
| Market | Business website | Online store |
|---|---|---|
| Saudi Arabia | SAR 6,000–15,000 | SAR 12,000–30,000 |
| UAE | AED 6,000–15,000 | AED 12,000–30,000 |
| United Kingdom | £2,000–£5,000 | £4,000–£10,000 |
| United States | $2,500–$6,000 | $5,000–$12,000 |
| Egypt | EGP 40,000–120,000 | EGP 80,000–250,000 |
Does the platform change the cost?
Less than most people think. The platform mainly changes running costs and how easy the site is to edit.
- WordPress: no licence fee, flexible, good for content-heavy sites. Hosting and plugins are paid separately.
- Shopify: monthly plan includes hosting and security. Best for stores that want simple day-to-day management.
- Webflow / Framer: monthly hosting plan, excellent for design-led marketing sites edited by a marketing team.
- Custom code: fastest and most controllable, best when performance matters most and content changes rarely.
Running costs after launch
Budget for these every year so the site keeps working:
- Domain: usually $10–$40 a year.
- Hosting: from about $5–$50 a month depending on traffic and platform.
- Maintenance: updates, backups and security, typically $100–$400 a month with a support plan.
- Paid plugins, apps or themes: varies, often $0–$300 a year.
How to get an accurate quote
Send any studio the same short brief and you’ll get quotes you can actually compare:
- What the site is for and who it’s for.
- The pages you need, and which are unique layouts.
- Languages and markets.
- Features: booking, payments, forms, integrations.
- Who provides text and photos.
- Your deadline and budget range.
Then ask for a written scope with a fixed price, so the cost doesn’t change halfway through.
